Wednesday Night Run 2-27-2013

Hello ORC,

The Publix marathon is going to be running through Decatur and they are looking for volunteers at water stations. And of course you can also come out and cheer your fellow runners. Who’s running this year? Half or full? I will be out and about that day escorting wheelchair racers. This Saturday is the Spring electronics recycling day. There is the Superhero's and Supervillain's Pub Crawl in East Atlanta. What else is going on this week/weekend?

Here are a couple of local and non-local races this weekend. On Saturday, March 2, are the Chattahoochee Road Runners 5K/10K in Atlanta and the Red Devil Dash 5K in Druid Hills. On Sunday, March 3, is the Intown Ten 10K in Virginia Highland, and the Daffodil Dash 5K & Mile Run/Walk in Dunwoody.

This Wednesday you are running through the Winnona neighborhood on Route 1.  It's a winding run through the local neighborhoods. The run goes through Kirkwood, through McKoy Park, around Winnona, through Agnes Scott, and a long finishing straight on Ansley.  This run has a lot of turns but it's all in the neighborhood, you can run your way out.  The link to Route 1 is at the bottom of this e-mail.  After the run it's off to Mojo's Pizza for food, drinks and trivia.

Safety note, as it is dark during the run, please wear your reflective vests/shirts/jackets, bright colors, and flashing lights.

Enjoy your run Wednesday night.  Thanks for making the Oakhurst Running Club one of the friendliest running club in Atlanta.
