Hello ORC,
Here's a couple of local events. The City of Decatur is offering free CPR training to its residents this Saturday at City Hall. Poverty is real and the Decatur Cooperative Ministry is having a benefit show at Eddie's Attic this weekend. Olympian Jeff Galloway will be at Harmony Park in Oakhurst tonight at 6pm to kickoff Team Decatur. The Living the Green Life speaker series continues tonight at the Decatur Library at 7pm.
What else is going on this week and weekend?
It's a slow weekend for races and they are not local but here's a sampling. The Twisted Trail 5K in Buford, the 29th Annual Georgia Games Run for Life with varying distances in Kennesaw, and the Cruisin' for Christmas in July in McDonough.
On Wednesday night you will be running route 13. After looping through Kirkwood, the route goes up the hard flat of Oakview and hits the hills of Spence/McDonough. The link to the route is at the bottom of this e-mail. After the run it's off to Mojo's Pizza for food, drinks and trivia.
Thanks for making the Oakhurst Running Club one of the friendliest running club in Atlanta.
