Hello ORC,
If you have a chance, the Be Active Decatur blog has helpful links for runners and walker; check it out here<http://beactivedecatur.wordpress.com/2012/08/21/helpful-links-for-runners-and-walkers/> (http://beactivedecatur.wordpress.com/2012/08/21/helpful-links-for-runners-and-walkers/). PushPush is having a garage sale this Saturday. What else is going on this week and weekend?
For racing starting this Friday, August 24, is the Twilight with a Twist 2 mile Obstacle Course Run in Fayetteville. On Saturday are the Magnolia Run and Walk for Epilepsy at Perimeter Mall, the Walk, Wag N' Run 5K & Mile at Lenox Park, the Run for the Park 5K in Grant Park (flyer is attached but I don't know if Google groups will forward it on), the Heels and Wheels for Megan's House Duathlon and Triathlon Challenge in Waycross, the 5K for Hope hosted by South Dekalb Striders in Decatur, the Back on My Feet Meaningful Miles 5K in Atlanta, and the 4th Annual DI Dash 5K and 1K in Marietta.
This Wednesday you will be running route 15. It's the Katie Kerr run. There are some nice challenging hills and after making at all the way past the last steep hill and false flats, you finish strongly on the downhill to One Step at a Time. It's one of the few routes that actually has a downhill finish. You can see the map through the link below. I am still trying to work out an easier way of getting the routes to you without getting swatted as spam or without the page asking for a Google sign-in. After the run it's off to Mojo's Pizza for food, drinks, and trivia.
Thanks for making the Oakhurst Running Club one of the friendliest running club in Atlanta.
