Hello ORC,
This weekend is the Decatur Craft Beer Festival. Sort of snuck up on me and I didn't realize it. Mudfire continues with its pottery shows. The 39 Steps is showing at Decatur High. AutumnFest is going on in Avondale. There is also the Glenwood Fall Festival. What else is going on this week/weekend?
Here's a couple of local races this weekend. On Saturday, October 20, are the Run Like Hell 5K & Run Like Heck 1K for Kids at Oakland Cemetery, the 32nd Annual Road Race for Education 5K and Fun Run in Atlanta, the JDRF Walk to Cure Diabetes at Centennial Olympic Park, the Be the One Run 5K / 1K / Tot Trot at Atlantic Station, and the Creepy Crawl 5K Trail Run at Mercer University Atlanta Campus. On Sunday, October 21, is the AIDS Walk Atlanta & 5K Run in Atlanta. For longer distances, there are the Race to Rally Hope 5K - 10K - Fun Run in Alpharetta , the 7 Bridges Marathon / 4 Bridges Half Marathon / 5K in Chattanooga, and the AthHalf - 3rd Annual Athens, GA Half Marathon in Athens.
This Wednesday you are running through the Winnona neighborhood on Route 1. It's a winding run through the local neighborhoods. The run goes through Kirkwood, through McKoy Park, around Winnona, through Agnes Scott, and a long finishing straight on Ansley. This run has a lot of turns but it's all in the neighborhood, you can run your way out. The link to Route 1 is at the bottom of this e-mail. After the run it's off to Mojo's Pizza for food, drinks and trivia.
Enjoy your run Wednesday night. Thanks for making the Oakhurst Running Club one of the friendliest running club in Atlanta.
