Volunteers help patrol DeKalb neighborhoods

This article was by local Decatur resident Ty Tagami.

They prowl their streets, scouting for telltale signs of crime.

That woman lingering at a bus stop could be a prostitute shopping for a john. And that unfamiliar van parked in a neighbor’s driveway? It could be full of burglars.

DeKalb County’s neighborhood watchdogs pass such information along to police. They also pick their grapevines for tips that sometimes yield arrests.

Here's the rest of the article.

“Man Day” 8/8/09 Raise a glass to the Y- Chromosome!

This is from Ink & Dagger Tattoo on College Av, right next to Wahoo.  I will be there to represent during the chicken wing eating contest.

Ink & Dagger Tattoo Parlour is proud to bring you “Man Day”. What is “Man Day”? Well, only the most needed holiday of them all. Every year, couples celebrate Valentine’s Day, and we all know that it’s all about the ladies. So we’ve decided to let them have their candy hearts and roses and claim a new day for men everywhere.

On Saturday, August 8th, Ink & Dagger brings men young and old a day to celebrate all things macho with a day of tattoos, BBQ, stiff drinks, friendly competition, and good times.
