Hello ORC,
It’s supposed to be a week of rain. Hopefully the rain holds out tomorrow night for your run. This weekend there is a Get Organized workshop at Finder’s Keeper’s. At Emory University is the Emory Community Choral Festival. There is the Amazing Scavenger Hunt Adventure at Centennial Olympic Park and The Highlands Hunt in Va-Hi. What else is going on this week/weekend?
Here are a couple of local and non-local races this weekend. On Saturday, January 19, are the Museum of Aviation Marathon & Half Marathon in Warner Robins, the Livvy's Love Fun Run/Walk 5K, 8K and More in Stone Mountain, and the Hogpen Hill Climb 18K/Piglet Run 5K in Helen. On Monday, January 21, is the MLK Day 5K in Piedmont Park.
This Wednesday you are running through the Winnona neighborhood on Route 1. It's a winding run through the local neighborhoods. The run goes through Kirkwood, through McKoy Park, around Winnona, through Agnes Scott, and a long finishing straight on Ansley. This run has a lot of turns but it's all in the neighborhood, you can run your way out. The link to Route 1 is at the bottom of this e-mail. After the run it's off to Mojo's Pizza for food, drinks and trivia.
Safety note, as it is dark during the run, please wear your reflective vests/shirts/jackets, bright colors, and flashing lights.
Enjoy your run Wednesday night. Thanks for making the Oakhurst Running Club one of the friendliest running club in Atlanta.
Corny
