This has been an interesting read in the blogosphere. Taste of Decatur was to highlight local restaurants around Decatur. But on Saturday it didn’t work out that way. Can it be blamed on the rain, maybe? But the blame seems to point more to the promoters of the event who used a bait and switch. I would say that most if not all Decatur blogs were advertising this event. The promotions even were on broadcast TV, ajc.com and I think even Creative Loafing. It makes Decatur look bad and there is some name confusion also ‘Taste of Decatur’ versus ‘A Taste of Decatur’; ‘Tour of Decatur’ versus Tour Decatur.’
