Peachtree race expands, adopts lottery format

For the first time since 1998, the world's largest 10-kilometer race is getting even bigger.
The 2011 Atlanta Journal-Constitution Peachtree Road Race will have a field of 60,000, an increase of 5,000. The Atlanta Track Club also will change the entry process to a lottery format in hopes of making the system fairer and less frantic.
